Giuseppe and his son Giovanni welcomed us warmly. The room was impeccable, with a very comfortable bed and a calm atmosphere. We chose this place because we wanted to dine at the Braceria Calabrese (run by Giovanni). In a small village of 500 people, the Braceria is upscale: a beautiful dining room, refrigerated display cases with homemade charcuterie and cheeses, many wine bottles, and large professional meat‑aging cabinets (their specialty). The food was delicious, portions generous, and the prices were more than fair. Breakfast was included and plentiful, both sweet and savory. When we left, they handed us a panini for the road!

The room was brand‑new and fully equipped with everything you need. Mr. Giuseppe, his wife, and the entire staff were available, very kind, and welcoming. Breakfast was good, and the sandwiches from the Braceria were great for a packed lunch. The property is in Melia, about a 20‑minute drive away. Actually making the drive can be a bit of a challenge.

Everything met our expectations: the owner’s availability and friendliness were excellent. The room had all the comforts for a relaxing stay, and the cleanliness was fabulous. The location is very quiet in the mountains, about 20 minutes from Scilla’s center, far from city noise—perfect for those seeking peace and nature. Parking is available right in front of the property. We decided to dine at the Braceria that evening and couldn’t have chosen better! We ate wonderfully, with the owner’s recommendations, tasting high‑quality fresh cured meats he produced and delicious meat. In the morning they offered us both sweet and savory breakfast and even prepared sandwiches for the trip—an impressive gesture! The owner’s kindness, hospitality, attention, and meticulous care left a lasting impression, so I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area—you won’t regret it, and I’ll definitely come back if I have the chance. No complaints, everything was perfect.

The reception was phenomenal, making us feel right at home, and the room along with the services were above average; the restaurant was excellent, especially the grilled meat. The road to the hotel was quite uphill, but otherwise there was nothing to note.
