The bathroom was stinky and the sofa was filthy, but for a budget hotel I guess you just have to accept it.
The mattress was good and the bed was a decent size, and the air‑conditioning was solid. It was very cheap too. Even though this place was cheap, the room was filthy. The floor looked like it hadn’t been swept or mopped, and there was a grimy bath‑mat rag on the floor. The bathroom tiles were cracked and the taps were covered in thick limescale. Wi‑Fi was extremely weak because my room was far from the router. Worst of all, there was a very toxic smell in the room, like boot polish or creosote, so I had to try to air it out because I wasn’t sure if the odor was dangerous. I didn’t report these issues because I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle: I don’t speak Indonesian, and the English of the staff wasn’t strong (but they were friendly and obliging).
Nice and spacious. Nothing
“L’horreur”
The location was fine, but I would give it -10 if I could. The service was nonexistent, with two women downstairs who only served food on two small armchairs all day. The rooms weren’t cleaned properly, and when I asked for the toilet paper to be thrown in a bin it felt like a basic request for daily replacement. And the cherry on top: no toilet paper at all, probably an economy measure. The rooms were vintage at best; the sofa fabric probably still smelled of previous guests’ fluids. Everything was dirty. The bathroom would scare you into thinking you might catch warts or something. The sound insulation was a joke – noise all night from the surrounding neighborhood and noise all day from our two companions listening to their phones while eating from morning till night. Sleep was definitely not the main goal. Don’t recommend it, even in distress.
It’s a pretty quiet spot with AC and TV. The bathroom is wrecked, the same as in the photo but 20 years later. The shower water doesn’t drain and stays there all the time. Also there are quite a few spiders and spider webs in the room; cleaning isn’t the hotel’s strong suit.
