The view was beautiful, the breakfast on the terrace was good, and the location was great for the city center yet still quiet; we could charge our e‑smart directly on the hotel parking lot. The price‑performance ratio was extremely poor—330 € per night including breakfast is a lot, especially since it was the International Film Festival, which we only found out about later. The beds were quite hard and not very comfortable.

The breakfast was high quality, hearty, and varied; the locals were pleasant, and the amenities were nice: lounges, pool, fully equipped gym, etc. The room was superb, spacious, bright with lots of light, and offered a panoramic view of San Sebastian—magnificent. The shower was a problem: the showerhead in most hotels isn’t well maintained, so the rain shower emitted a weak spray, as it did here; fortunately, the handheld shower was still okay.
