The property was lovely, impeccably finished, and the facilities and location were excellent.

The location was really nice, the facilities were great, and we loved the woodburner and the fire pit—never felt cold even though it was chilly outside. The tub was a cool feature too. We had a fantastic couple of days, quiet and relaxing. Thanks for the delicious apple juice! Looking forward to returning when the weather is warmer. An electric kettle would be nice, and a few small items like the chopping board and linens could be updated, but these are minor improvements only.

The attention to detail here is unmatched; everything has been thought of, as previous reviews mention. The location is private and safe. The hut has an amazing shower with hot water. The kitchen is proper, with utensils and an induction hob that we used for part of our cooking. There’s a lovely little fireplace inside the hut and a fire pit outside, which we used both nights to cook dinners and toast marshmallows. The bed faces a window, so each morning we’d pull the blinds up to sit in bed and enjoy the countryside views. The radio in the hut was a perfect touch; we loved having it on while cooking by the fire. The outdoor bath was especially delightful; it was the perfect way to relax, and we were lucky to have pure sunshine one morning, so I sat there with a cup of tea and a book—bliss. We brought all our own food, and the small fridge and freezer in the hut were perfect for storage. The décor and finishing touches set the hut apart from others. We stayed in Russet, which has a tranquil little river nearby, and we enjoyed a nice evening walk around the fields outside. We couldn’t have wished for a better stay; it was our anniversary, and upon arrival there was a sweet “happy anniversary” sign with complimentary Prosecco—such a nice touch! Thank you so much for having us; we will definitely be back. Steve was great, super helpful, and informative before our stay.

There was no breakfast included, but the apple juice was lovely. The space is finished to a very high standard and has a very nice colour. It’s a very peaceful setting with clear instructions to get there. It’s comfortable and warm. Fairy lights would be a nice addition, and a handrail for the outside steps would help. There was no kindling for fire lighting, no coffee or shampoo available even though they were mentioned, and the hob was tricky to work with and needed more instructions to operate. We finally managed to “unlock” it and boil water, but not being used to an induction hob meant we didn’t really know what we were doing.
