“Tapasztalat”
The pool, the plants, and the geckos were great. After a friendly welcome, I was able to get a small, dark, windowless room that was basically a tiny cabin. The room was small, the windows couldn't be opened, but at least there was a noisy, clacking AC. It was right next to the bathroom and directly above the kitchen, so all kinds of smells mixed together (even on my clothes). The floor creaked everywhere. The place was full of lizards and geckos, which I liked. Nearby was a chicken farm with dogs, so it was hard to enjoy the otherwise lush natural vibe. Since you can't swim on the nearby ocean shore because of bad conditions, the inner courtyard pool was a huge privilege; it was small, but because there were few guests when I was there, I could use it. That was the best part, in my opinion. The food was tasty and not too expensive, and the drinks weren't pricey either. Unfortunately, breakfast was completely unacceptable in both quality and quantity. They don't even offer plain coffee or tea, and there's no soda or fruit, which I think is a problem. Basically, I had to pay for everything extra, and they even added a separate service fee later. Because the place is far from the airport and Alona Beach, transportation is quite pricey (motorbike rental 500 Peso, airport transfer 900 Peso). Despite all that, I would have felt better, but the entire stay was marred by ongoing renovation work (flexing, welding, dusting by workers) that really bothered me. They didn't even mention this when I booked, so I don't look back on this place with a good heart. The staff are smiling and kind but not particularly friendly; you can't really chat (maybe the refusal was just aimed at me). The whole of Panglao Island is dirty and lazy, and this place was no different.
