Parking is available on the street. This place isn’t a hotel with a restaurant; it’s a pub that rents rooms above the bar, so you’ll hear noise late into the night, smell pub cooking in the room, and get a very basic breakfast. The staff are impersonal—you pick up keys at the bar and you’re not a priority. Wi‑Fi doesn’t work and the staff can’t get it back on. The pub itself is nice and pretty, but the listing isn’t clear. The exterior photos are actually of the pub’s terrace. The room is small, forcing you to put your suitcase on the floor, and the stairs are steep. Rates are high in summer and the value for money is poor. Knowing this, we would have stayed elsewhere.

The room, especially the bathroom, clearly needs an upgrade. The beer garden and outside smoking area below make it very noisy. To reach first‑floor rooms you either walk through the main bar/restaurant or use a back stairwell that was dark, filthy, and smelly.

The place was clean and fresh, though the shower was tiny. The blonde lady behind the bar didn’t greet or even notice us as we arrived with bags after a four‑hour trip; it wasn’t clear where to book, so I had to ask between her serving. “Excuse me, are we in the right place to book a room?” “Yes.” She kept serving, then told the waitress to check the lady behind us for a table/meal before saying “I’ll be with you in a minute” and then told us to come around the other side to her! She wasn’t rude, but she was certainly not welcoming. The waitress, however, was polite and friendly. We checked out, the order and food were cleared away promptly, and she smiled a lot.
