The grounds were beautifully manicured, very clean, and the pool area was nice; we used the BBQ a lot. The bed was a little too firm, and a man at the front desk with a long braid, who seemed to be in his 60s, was not tourist‑friendly when we asked about sightseeing and was actually rude, which was surprising.

The unit offers breathtaking ocean, poolside, and mountain views, with meticulous grounds and tiki torches at night. A pub‑height table on the lanai lets you enjoy the view without looking through rails, and a short walk down the stairs brings you to the ocean, pool, or the 8‑mile Coconut Coastal Trail. The room is spotless, comfortable, and comes with everything you need, plus the owner provides beach chairs and a cooler. Kappa’a’s location is perfect, and Coconut Market is right across the parking lot. I’ve stayed twice and would return, though the pillows aren’t to my taste.

The property is well kept and beautiful, though there’s almost no beach right on the sea. Next door is Lava Lava Beach Club, where the food is excellent. The apartment matches the pictures.

The location near the beach, restaurants, and shops is great. However, the apartment floor and tub could have been cleaner, the mattress shifted on the platform, and the kitchen is incomplete—no stove top, oven, or toaster oven, and the microwave is tiny. The coffee pot is small and only supplies ten cups at a time, with no condiments. The sink is very small, and minor repairs are needed throughout. There’s no place to store groceries, and the cabinet door is difficult to close. These small issues add up to an irritating experience.

The spot is fantastic, right on the sea with a pool/bar at the door and convenient shopping nearby. The amenities are thoughtfully arranged: a cooler, chairs, a windbreak, a beach umbrella, and towels—nothing is missing. We wondered what the pan and cooking gear were for, given there’s no way to cook. 😅
