The place was perfectly located for our trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. When I booked I had the dates wrong, but they were happy to fix the mistake and let us stay on the correct dates. It was convenient to have a sink outside the bathroom area. However, a 6 % resort fee was added to our room rate, which seemed odd for a small motel in a small town; the staff appeared confused about the fee. The sliding barn door didn’t fully cover the opening.

This motel is a dream for cycle tourists! They’ve really considered what matters, including plush robes for when you come out of your dirty cycling gear.

The motel was well located. Lauren had upgraded us to a King Size which was great. The room was well decorated, very clean, modern not just ‘done up from existing’. The side tables and seating/luggage bench were well thought out and there was plenty of room for our 2 loaded bicycles. Shower was excellent. There was a fridge plus a kettle. There was a canteen area to purchase food but also an excellent large sink for laundry. There was a small washing line and pegs (maybe add another of these but we used our bear line). Nothing to dislike. 5 minute walk into town centre for bike shop, food shops and eateries, but there is also a supermarket just across the road. Nice town. Definitely eat at The Three Barrels for beer and pizza

It was cool, quiet, clean, comfy, and offered great value. Plus, there’s an awesome coffee shop! There’s nothing to dislike about this place.
