I was blown away by the hotel's ideal location, which made it easy to explore all that York has to offer.
The lady who checked me in was particularly helpful, showing me to my room and providing me with valuable information about the hotel.
The breakfast had a fantastic range of options that were all delicious.

The location and breakfast were great, but the plumbing noise was annoying.
I’ve stayed here several times because it’s within walking distance of York Barbican, and the bar has a wide selection of drinks to suit any preference.
“Litet rum, långt från stationen och parsonalen var ointresserad. Kort före ankomst blev bokningen ändrad”
The place was clean, but the room felt cramped and was far from the station. We had booked breakfast, yet three days before arrival we were told it wouldn’t be available, leaving us too short on time to cancel. Breakfast is a key factor for us when picking a hotel, and the staff seemed rather indifferent and not very helpful.
“A traditional, friendly pub that makes a great fry up in the morning!”
We found the Victoria to be very good value for money; walking to the city centre took about 15 minutes and we could reach all attractions without a car, the staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, but the WiFi was not great.
The location was perfect for a night out at the Barbican, parking was super convenient, and driving into the city was really easy.
