We were warmly welcomed and shown the traditional house, followed by a fantastic barbecue.

The pre‑arrival messages were spot on, with plenty of links and details about the BBQ and the parking spot. We were greeted warmly and shown the charming 150‑year‑old inn. With just three of us, we had plenty of room choices: a western‑style bedroom on the second floor, a toilet on the first floor, and a tatami room with futon bedding. The second floor also has a small dining table with a sink and fridge/freezer. On the ground floor there's a large lounge, two futon rooms, a dining table with inset legs, two small toilets (one for ladies, one for gents), a separate bathroom with sink, shower, and onsen, and a huge kitchen. A washer/dryer sits in a separate room, and the annexe hosts the BBQ. There are loads of TVs, speakers, karaoke, and other entertainment. It was very quiet and comfortable, and the BBQ was the absolute highlight. The kitchen could use a bit more cleaning; it still feels a little greasy from its restaurant days, but that’s a minor quibble that didn’t take away from the place’s uniqueness. I’d jump back here in a heartbeat.

Bathing in a natural environment with a beautiful mountain view outside; even during the hot summer, the temperature drops several degrees once on the mountain, and the evening breeze is very cool. The host only hosts one group at a time, so two kids can run around inside without disturbing others, and just by circling around they can discharge themselves. Highly recommended for families with children, and the equipment is very complete and the space is spacious, so multi‑person accommodation is no problem.

The owner couple and the manager have a good personality, and the building was larger than expected, which was the best. There is nothing particular to mention.
