I loved everything about the setting and the Casona – it’s truly wonderful. The only thing missing was better ventilation or air conditioning in the room.

The location and the back patio were great, but there was no staff at the front desk; I had to call a number, and even though they answered quickly it felt very limited for a hotel. The room was on the ground floor facing the street, with no windows—just wooden shutters—so it wasn’t soundproofed from the road and had no air conditioning. I couldn’t open it because it faced the sidewalk. The shower was absurd (held together with a chain and tape!). The floor was dirty with dust and grime, and the cleaning had not been done. The bedding was unclean, with hair, insects, and stains. We found a huge cockroach‑like insect in the bathroom, much bigger than a typical cockroach. There was no VMC in the bathroom and no ventilation in the room.

I was truly charmed by the elegant, quiet, comfortable setting and the staff’s friendliness and dedication, especially the owner and his father, who made my experience exceptional.

The hotel was beautiful, with lovely colonial décor and spacious, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the staff were very friendly; the location was unbeatable.

The breakfast was truly exceptional, and the person serving it was very helpful; the paintings and décor were nice. However, on the first night a nosy guest—my wife's sister—disturbed us, ruining the experience a bit. It was also very hot, so I couldn't open the window for fear of more nosy guests. The door to the room had little space above and below, so it was possible that the sister was already there when we arrived, or had entered. A door of a more suitable size and a screen on the window would easily solve these problems.
