The hotel sits in the old city, facing a quiet courtyard with almost no traffic, so walking to all the sights is a breeze. The bathroom and shower are roomy and spotless, and the room is a decent size with a comfortable bed. I can’t think of anything we didn’t like; everything was positive!

This traditional hotel with simple rooms sits just below the Nonnenberg on a quiet square in Salzburg’s Old Town, with restaurants and cafés right below. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching city life. The only downside was a dead plant on the balcony that just needed to be moved to the other end for some rain.

The balcony room offers a cathedral view and overlooks a lovely square with a bakery, coffee shop, a couple of bars, and shops. Walking around is easy, and the glasses provided let you sit on the balcony and enjoy a drink. The room has a fridge, and the restaurant above is quiet. The only downside is that there are no facilities for making tea or coffee.
