I was greeted by Eliana, the staff was clean, and the hot water for the bath worked fine; parking was close. The steep streets to get there were a challenge, especially since Iruya sits on a mountain and those roads are the most difficult.

It’s a very pleasant place with an atmosphere that feels like a mountain refuge. The staff are very friendly and the breakfasts are good, even with scrambled eggs, which is uncommon in northern Argentina! It’s near the start of the El Cóndor trail. Don’t miss it: the views are spectacular. The drive up is quite steep and the center feels a bit far, but in the end it’s not a problem.

Eliana, the person who attended me, is everything that is good in Iruya: pleasant, attentive, eager, and honestly excellent. The service, cleanliness, and location are top‑class. The beds were somewhat uncomfortable, but I could still sleep.

Ely, the young person who received me, is an excellent human being who attended me every day. She prepares tasty dinners, lunches, and breakfasts and advises me on excursions. I liked everything. The only issue is that I’m not used to climbing mountain streets, but I still enjoyed it.
