The boutique Hotel Zur alten Post - Stammhaus, Büsum, is a family-run hotel located in the North Sea resort, 3 minutes from the southern beach, pedestrian area, and port. Built in 2017, it features modern Nordic-style rooms, a 16th-century decor restaurant serving fresh fish and regional products, and free WiFi. The hotel is close to scenic beachfront, shops, Piraten-Meer Adventure Pool, and coastal hiking and cycling routes.

The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, the central location is superb, everything was excellent!

The staff were friendly and the location was central, but the price‑performance was poor because hidden fees appeared – the description mentioned a parking space, yet we were later charged €12 per day for a farther, unguarded lot. We were surprised that the room wasn’t cleaned the next morning; neither towels nor toilet paper were replaced, and we had to leave the used towels on the floor as usual. After a great day at the beach we went to shower, and when we asked why there was no cleaning, we were told that bookings made through Booking would only receive service after three days, which felt like second‑class treatment. They claimed this was stated in the confirmation email, but with an 80 % cancellation fee that seemed unreasonable. To top it off we later received an email with an attached invoice for the tourist tax and parking, even though we had already paid for those on arrival.
