The spot was exactly what I imagined: charming, surrounded by nature, and just a stone's throw from the beach.
Rose was a fantastic host—felt like a second mom in the hippie village.
The lodge’s restaurant, run by Rose, is also top‑notch.

The best spot in the village to stay, and Rose is a wonderful person.
“Féerique”
Rose the manager is a magnificent and inspiring person, and everyone who works there is too. The place is great, though there are a lot of mosquitoes, which is part of its charm.
“Lovely hippie and nature experience!”
The spot sits in a hippie village that offers a close-to-nature vibe, with plenty of monkeys, frogs, birds, and a beach right next door. Rose was a wonderful host, caring for us and helping with everything we needed, and she’s also a master of African and Brazilian cuisine, cooking the best food you’ve ever had with ingredients she gathered from the forest. We miss her already and hope to return soon. The only downside is that the place is very simple; you need to go there open to a different experience, connect with nature instead of your phone, and remember sunscreen and repellent.
Nature.
“Imersão a ancestralidade afro indígena! 🙏🏽”
The host, Rose Braga, a powerful black woman, is the highlight of Cria, turning the stay into a transformative and unique experience that feels more like being part of the place than just a guest. The chance to see the Tamar project and witness the release of turtle hatchlings was a privilege. I just want to leave 😭
