Located in the heart of Loches, near the Royal City and local shops, Hôtel Le George offers double and family rooms with private en-suite bathrooms and TVs. The central location was ideal for exploring the beautiful old town and the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly, yet our twin room was very small so we suggest booking a larger room for longer stays than the single night we stayed, and the hotel never asked us at booking whether we wanted to dine, so we found them full.

The breakfast was really good and the location was also excellent, but on Sunday evenings the restaurant was closed, and most other restaurants in town were closed too.

The location, the smiling and available staff were good, but the kitchen ventilation noise kept us from opening the windows even after service finished, a constant rumble, and room 106 was too noisy for my sensitive ears.

The hotel sits close to the historic centre, and bars and restaurants are nearby; the room had plenty of amenities, yet it was on the roof, so you have to be awake at night to get out of bed without hitting the slanted roof, and the bathroom has a bathtub with a loose hand shower, which isn’t convenient if you only want a shower.
