The location was good. It was a bit cold and there were typical inner‑city noises and local construction sounds.

The location is hard to beat, super convenient to Pacific Fair, public transport, the Gold Coast Highway and the beach. The nearby construction was noisy, but that’s common for any spot on the Gold Coast.

“Fair”

The staff were friendly, the proximity to the beach and Pacific Fair was good, and there was a good selection of kitchen utensils. However, the noise from private tenants above Room 16 was extreme, especially from midnight to 3 am and from 4.30 am to 6 am—apparently a male was playing PlayStation/video calling overseas during those hours. Our room wasn’t serviced during the two‑week stay, and we weren’t offered that facility, so we had to wash towels and bedding ourselves. The balcony area wasn’t swept or cleaned before we arrived.

“An old neglected appartment”

The place is just a short walk from the light rail, which is handy. But the Wi‑Fi kept dropping, the building looks old and in need of work, and there was no smoke detector in the bedroom – feels unsafe. The kitchen counter was scorched, the frying pan was dirty and had to be scrubbed before use. All in all, a neglected apartment that could use a facelift.

The apartment was roomy and bright, and the spot is close to the beach, tram, and shops – easy to hit the sights. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the little balcony was perfect for a sunny breakfast. Parking underground was plenty and easy to get into. The Smart TV was decent and had streaming options. The only downsides were that there’s no lift to the upper floors (though that was listed) and the mattress felt a bit worn and soft.
