“Budget Backpackers, STAY HERE!! :)”

Yo fellow backpackers! I highly recommend King's House. My room was 801호 대박하우스. It’s near a traditional market where I found good, affordable food, close to a bus that goes straight to Mudeungsan for hiking, and a 20‑minute walk to Gwangju Train station. The staff were kind and checked on my needs; I may have asked a lot, but they never complained, and I’m grateful for their kindness. It’s a safe, budget spot with a nice view of Mudeungsan and sunrise, so it’s also relaxing. It feels like a dorm‑sized place. I’d love to rent it again when I return. Just 30 USD for 2 nights and 3 days. You get a comfy bed and your own bathroom.

The location was fairly convenient, but the Wi‑Fi was unusable and the air conditioning didn’t work.

I think you can find better options in Gwangju for the same price. There were no curtains, no duvet—just a fleece blanket, which wasn’t enough when it dropped to –1 °C at night. I never met the host and had to call for check‑in details, but I didn’t have a SIM, so I couldn’t. Luckily another guest helped me out. The bathroom is very small. The TV offers a few English channels. The place is okay and close to a bus stop that links to the bus terminal.

The price is pretty good, but it’s not luxurious. The facilities are decent, but it’s not comfortable.

“Comfortable Stay”

It's worth the money and I have an entire room to myself. The bathroom is clean and the bed is comfortable. The mini fridge and cable television made my stay more entertaining. Shampoo, body wash, conditioner, soap, and towels are provided. Washing machine and kitchen along with pots, pans, utensils and condiments are on each floor and guests get to cook themselves which makes their stay more economical.
