The accommodation was very nice, thoughtfully designed and well laid out, and it felt super cozy. Some items needed replacement or repair, but that wasn’t a big deal for us (the parasol and the deck could use a little love with loose wood pieces).
The staff were pleasant, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
“Prima voor 2 of 3 dagen.”
The campsite sits in a lovely natural spot close to Valkenburg and is full of kids, which worked perfectly for my 8‑year‑old because there’s a decent playground where they can mingle. The pool is tiny, but it’s nice to have one where adults can sit on the terrace and watch everything. The front‑desk staff were friendly and professional, and you can order fresh bread there each morning. I assumed I’d booked a cabin with a private shower after seeing a shower in the photos, only to discover on arrival that my cabin only had a shared shower, which was disappointing. The small print did mention a communal shower, but I missed it because the picture misled me. The shared showers were clean, though. The pool was very small and packed on Pentecost, so it’s not a quiet adult‑only spot; it’s more chaotic and splashy, which didn’t bother me much since I was with my son. Our cabin was right up against the neighbours, so you could see straight into each other’s rooms; the photos suggested a bit of distance and a view, which turned out to be false and felt misleading. Privacy vanished if you left the door open or sat on the terrace, which I found to be a real drawback. There’s no little shop, just two vending machines that sell essentials at steep prices.
“Weekendje fietsen in Limburg vanuit Camping Live”
The pub was fun.
“A fun place to glamp for the night. Good facilities and friendly staff.”
The dome tent was spotless, and the camping gas cooker and wood pellet stove kept us warm on cooler days. Even though the campsite was bustling, it stayed quiet. The on‑site bar and restaurant looked nice, but we missed them because we arrived too late. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the missing bed headboard, which made it hard to sit up in bed, and we wished there had been a full water carrier waiting when we got here.
