Hotel Dordrecht

The bed had hair on it, the mini fridge didn’t work, the showerheads were clogged with limescale and barely worked, the shower rod leaked, both were due for replacement, the toilet seat was loose, and unknown pills were found under the bed and the floor wasn’t vacuumed properly.

“Onsite bike storage central location”

The hotel offered covered bike storage (though you need a lock), a central spot, plenty of restaurants, and a large room in the main building; it sits in an old yet elegant riverside building. Breakfast was limited but adequate, and while an update might help, it could compromise the elegance.

“Prima voor een paar dagen Dordrecht”

The historic city center is just around the corner and the breakfast was good, but because the room by the water at street level was warm, the standalone air‑con had to run constantly, and it was very noisy.

“Voldoende maar niet echt profesioneel.”

The location is just outside the old town but still within a short walk; the front desk is open day and night. However, the room’s amenities – including a non‑working safe and a poorly functioning air‑con – were problematic, and the repair process was disorganized; the reception staff’s availability varied, making the place feel dated yet adequate.

The setting was lovely and the staff were exceptional.
