“Lovely stay with ferries to the islands”
The staff were friendly, breakfasts were excellent, and there was a nice range of evening meals. The food itself was lovely. The pool area was nice, with gorgeous flowers and baskets everywhere – very pretty. Every day you get free tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water, and biscuits in your room. If you’re driving, it’s best to catch the bus that stops outside the hotel and runs across the island; it’s very cheap at £1.70. The area is full of narrow lanes, and if you rent a car you’ll need to be confident navigating tight streets with high brick walls and bends, which can be a bit nerve‑wracking, especially when you have to drive on pavements that are too narrow for two cars.

The hotel had a charming all‑English vibe, with staff who were always smiling, and it sat just 20 m from a bus stop and beside the coastal trails; the breakfast was excellent, though the acoustics could have been better for a hotel at this price.

The whole experience went beyond what we expected, the staff were excellent and the food superb—one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in—though the weather was a drawback.
