The room was wide, the private bathroom outside was fine. Everything was ok.

Hotel M68, a family‑run boutique in Berlin’s Mitte, sits on Leipziger Straße, a stone’s throw from U6 Stadtmitte and U2 Mohrenstraße stations. Rooms feature panoramic city views, while the conservatory overlooks the historic Postmuseum and WMF‑Haus design shop. Guests enjoy a daily espresso at the café and easy access to Gendarmenmarkt, Brandenburg Gate, and Checkpoint Charlie.

The room was spacious, the environment quiet, the location excellent, and the bathroom was cleaned daily. The bathroom is a bit far from the room and overall needs modernization.

The bed was comfortable and the shower water hit just the right heat with solid pressure. The whole room felt worn down; the nightstand had almost no paint left, the wood windows were black‑tipped, and the bathroom, though large, was barely usable. The silicone in the shower base was cracked and dark, the shower door looked gross, and tiles were all chipped. The paint under the window was dark and dirty, and exposed pipes ran everywhere. There was a TV with a few public channels, but the remote was dusty. On the bright side, the location is great and parking costs only €10 a day, yet the overall stay quality drops to zero. At night, an exterior light flickered outside, and the curtains barely blocked the glare. I’ll skip the photos because it’s embarrassing.

I landed in a spot that’s super convenient, right near key areas, the metro, and other transport links. The building feels a bit dated – the lights flickered, a bedside lamp didn’t work, and the cistern kept clogging. It’s not terrible, but the price feels high for what’s on offer.

I absolutely loved it, it’s a fantastic place, well connected to the city, and the rooms are huge.
