Good value for the price, and it’s close to shops and pubs. The staff were friendly, making it a solid base for exploring the local area.

The location fit my purpose perfectly. The mattress and bedding were the cheapest you can buy, so I barely slept. The communal stair area was disgustingly filthy, and the wash basin was tiny.

Nothing positive. There were no curtains or blinds, the mattress was old with collapsed springs, and there was a constant smell of drugs every night.

The location was fine. The room sat in the attic, so you had to climb many stairs, and the fridge was on the middle level. It was very small, the door lock never worked, the window was damaged, rotted, and the blind was broken. The kettle lay on the floor to boil, the bathroom shelf was missing—just brackets. The door had a punch mark. The bed was spongy, the sheet and duvet cover were nylon, all worn and bobbly, and the pillows were foamy lumps. There was no space to move around, the humidity was high, no air circulation, and the street noise was loud, so I barely slept. It didn’t meet any standard. I only stayed one night, it ruined our few days away, and we left the next morning. I’m still waiting for a refund for the second night we didn’t use. I contacted them at midday after leaving at 7 am.

Close to the town centre and in a quiet area. The room hasn’t been renovated in over ten years, and the bed is the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in, lacking springs.
