“Vreselijk”
The place is by the sea and on the big road, so you don’t feel the crowds. The rooms and the grounds were truly awful; you could see that they hadn’t been maintained for months or even years. The rooms were dirty and insects—bugs and flies—were everywhere, even on the bed. Apparently they’re going to close the property.
The staff are friendly. The shared toilet/bathroom was dirty and deteriorated, and the door couldn’t be closed because it was broken. Overall the place was poorly maintained.
The location is good. There is a general lack of cleanliness and the amenities are degraded.
“Bed bugs + terrible shared bathroom”
It’s close to the beach. I got bed‑bug bites and had to leave early, and they didn’t offer a refund, blaming the previous guests. The shared bathroom was a filthy outhouse with a broken light switch and cockroaches, and rusty nails for hanging towels. Paint was peeling off the floor in our room and the whole room looked rundown. Some staff were friendly, but anyone considering a stay should be aware of the bed bugs and the poor response from the owners.

I can’t really say much. It was truly one of the worst experiences, so even though I had booked four nights I left after the first. 1. My wife and I booked a sea‑view room, but there was no sea view; all sea‑view rooms were occupied. 2. The room lacked sufficient lighting; a single dim bulb was not enough for reading, making the room practically dark. 3. There is no glass in the window, only a mosquito net, so smoke from outside or burning things drifts in. 4. The door handle feels unreliable, the lock is worn and flimsy; it locks, but pulling harder makes the handle fall apart. Combined with the lack of glass, the room feels unsafe for personal belongings. 5. The toilet flush works intermittently; at first I thought it didn’t work at all, but after a while I managed to flush the tank. 6. The floor in the toilet/shower was covered in sand, as if it hadn’t been cleaned. 7. The pillows are very hard, like a folded blanket in a pillowcase, and too high to sleep comfortably. 8. Roosters crow day and night, either from neighboring rooms or their own.
