The house is beautiful, well designed and offers great views; I couldn’t tick some of the boxes because of a technical glitch on their website, yet everything inside the house works fine.

From the accommodation you get a great view of the city. Our host, assisted by his grandson, was very accommodating. He normally does not offer breakfast out of season, but because a festival made it hard to find something before we left, he arranged a wonderful breakfast for us. Thank you.

The house is definitely beautiful and well designed; the owner, a civil engineer, seems to be both an excellent C engineer and an excellent architect, with an imaginative layout that includes a small “internal garden” and a mezzanine floor. It sits about 2km from Kandy town centre, a 30 minute walk that I used as exercise, and I wanted to stay away from the town centre so that worked for me. A three‑wheeler can be easily obtained if you prefer. (Note that some questions don’t apply because these are homestays.) A breakfast would have been appreciated.
