Breakfast was tasty and the staff were kind, but the water pressure in the toilet outside the room was weak.

The location was perfect—close to the station and easy to reach Kyoto city, the trolly train, Arashiyama, and the bamboo forest all by foot, which was great. The meals in the morning and evening were also very good. No particular complaints.

The hotel sits next to JR Sagano Arashiyama and the trolly Sagano station, a convenient spot, and the Arashiyama sights are about a 10‑minute walk. My room was very clean and comfortable, with an air purifier and cool air conditioning even in summer. I opted for breakfast, which was tasty—rice, side dishes, fish, small dishes, homemade tofu, all very Kyoto‑style, and I ended up eating too much. Hot coffee and matcha pudding after the meal were also good. I stayed two nights; the second morning’s side dishes were slightly different but still fine. The large bath was clean and great. The only problem was that the toilet seat was misaligned.
