Maierlhof, Aich lies 4 km from Aich’s centre, 7 km from Hauser Kaibling ski area, and 4 km from a ski‑bus stop. Guests benefit from parking, garden, playground, a room. Rooms have balconies, shared or ensuite bathrooms, and no TV. On‑site BBQ, ski storage with heated boot dryer, lockable bike storage, and a pet‑friendly farm with rabbits, cows, and chickens appeal to families.

The place is truly one‑of‑a‑kind, perched with a view that sweeps over the mountains and down into the valley. The lady who runs it is incredibly warm and welcoming, and her breakfast spread felt like a little luxury. Having the Sommercard was a nice bonus too.

The Sommercard does hand out a lot of freebies and the house sits in a peaceful spot, which I liked. On the downside, English isn’t spoken here, and the owner came across as a bit unfriendly—maybe just a language barrier. The walls are thin, privacy is scarce and you keep running into the owners, so it felt more like staying at someone’s home than a hotel.

This lodging is outstanding, with a gorgeous outlook that frames everything outside. The hostess is friendly, and there are plenty of activities and places to explore nearby. I’d say it’s the top pick for a stay that includes breakfast.
