“Most enjoyable and comfortable short break, highly recommended”

Donna and her team were all very friendly and welcomed everyone warmly. The hotel had recently changed ownership and was undergoing renovation, but it was clean, the continental breakfast offered many options, and the bed was very comfortable. There is no restaurant on site, but the Quarterdeck Tavern opens to the public from afternoon to early evening and West Bay has plenty of dining spots. I’ll return for a longer stay.

The hosts were helpful and informative, doing their best to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Free parking for our two‑day stay was useful, and the property sits right in the heart of historic West Bay. Unfortunately, because our room didn’t have an ensuite, we had to go downstairs every time we needed the bathroom or shower, which was inconvenient. Even though West Bay/Bridport is a pricey area, £250 for a two‑day stay in a room without an ensuite felt a bit steep to me.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was kept very clean. There were many little touches that were lovely, such as the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, flannels, cotton pads, buds, and ladies’ toiletries if needed. The cozy bar area and the walkable distance to the beach were great. I would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

“Great once finished”

The hosts were very accommodating & the breakfast cooked by father in law was delicious. All the stairs as room was on top floor, but in all fairness the house has just had new owners and they have a lot of work to do, & our room was first to be done, it will be amazing when finished. Also WiFi needs sorting as no reception at top of house
