Weligama Beach lies 12 minutes’ walk away, with the railway station 800 m from the hotel.

The place sits in a great spot, just a 7‑minute walk to the beach. The owners arranged a cheaper taxi from the airport and back than Pickme or Uber, and we also borrowed a motorcycle at a lower price than the local rentals. We were very happy and will return.

The room was spotless and very roomy, and the location was right in the center. The kitchen was lacking.

This brand‑new villa in Weligama is perfect even for non‑motorbike riders, as it’s only a 10‑minute walk to the beach, a 5‑minute walk to the bus stop, and close to groceries and everything else you might need. It’s comfortable for both short and long stays, with rooms that have everything and more: a huge bed, a private bathroom that even offers hair conditioner in addition to shower gel and shampoo, a personal fridge, an electric kettle, an iron, a hair dryer, and a work table. The villa also boasts a large kitchen for guests to cook in and a washing machine, which surprised me. The host is a great person; any questions I had were answered quickly and help was readily available. I felt right at home and will come back.

The accommodation matched the photos, and the host and his assistants were quick to resolve any issues. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Sri Lanka; we’ll definitely return. The property is near a railway line, but the host warned us about this during booking, and passing trains hardly disturbed us.
