Everything except one item was excellent: cleanliness, appointments, the beautiful building, etc., all are exceptional. Our room was on the lower floor, and the plumbing noise above—doors closing, taps running, the shower—was very loud. We could hear anyone walking, closing doors, or running taps, and the shower was loud and clear in our unit.

The rooms are beautiful and the patio overlooking the water is great. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. Little extras like binoculars in the sitting room add an extra special view of the area. Peaceful and quiet! The local cuisine at the inn’s restaurant is great, and you must try the freshly baked scones in the morning! Nothing.

The Black Spruce was delightful, and the staff at both the restaurant and the Inn were friendly; the location was convenient, yet the bed, pillows, and bedding were uncomfortable, though that didn’t really matter after a long day.
