Staff were friendly. 1) All was fine just that the room was a bit small for a single bed. I felt like staying in a prison cell but exclusive 2) Cafe should open earlier than 7.30am. 7.30am is too late. 6.30 or at least 7am based on my experience with other hotels

“Very uncomfortable”

The location was acceptable mainly because of the Food Festival during our stay. The breakfast system was unacceptable: we received MYR 25 in breakfast vouchers per person per day, yet the cheapest main dish cost MYR 28, meaning we had to pay extra for everything and couldn’t truly claim breakfast was included. After raising the issue we were given extra vouchers, but that shouldn’t have required a complaint. The room had no windows, so we expected ventilation for the humidity, but there was none; the damp smell was awful. We asked for a second key card so we could keep the air conditioning running during the day to reduce humidity and sleep better at night, but this was refused. The room was poorly soundproofed, the bed was broken and uncomfortable. When we requested another room, they said the hotel was fully booked. The staff were not particularly friendly and rarely greeted us. Finally, the hotel is about a 30‑minute walk from the city centre, making the location less convenient than expected. Overall, this was a major disappointment; the stay was uncomfortable and we definitely would not choose this hotel again.

“Great location and pleasant.”

The location was great and the room was quiet, but it could use a deep clean and some refurbishment. The breakfast voucher for the downstairs cafe doesn’t really cover food or coffee—you have to pay extra to top it up.
