The experience on the boat was great, the location was fun, and the interior of the boat was very enjoyable. However, there were no roller blinds or anything to block the sun, so it got too hot and the sun hit the sleeping cabins early in the morning. The neighbors on the other boat could also see into our shower cabin. It would have been nice to have a parasol on board. The place wasn’t completely clean; there was toothpaste residue behind the sink in the bathroom, a full ashtray, the coffee machine was dirty, and a few other items were off. A kitchen towel, tea towel, and dishcloth would have been useful. We found it very expensive. A booking for 3 or 4 people on the same boat would have been much cheaper, but because we were 5 people it became a lot more expensive (€ 966 euro).

Staying on a boat in the Netherlands was nice, the interior had been nicely refurbished, and the village it’s in is lovely. It was harder than expected to get to Amsterdam (2 buses and a train). The neighboring houseboat was very close and there were no curtains or blinds between our boat and theirs, even in the bathroom, so privacy was limited. The fridge hadn’t been emptied since the previous occupants and there was no soap in the bathroom.

The boat was really lovely, well equipped with a good kitchen and very comfy beds. The location is perfect—quiet, close to supermarkets, and it’s a pleasure to wake up and look out over the water.

The location is nice. Everything feels unnervingly cramped; for four people, it’s really the most extreme on the boat in my opinion.
