“Expérience fabuleuse à Veliko Tarnovo”
The setting was stunning, bringing back memories of Bulgaria during the Ottoman era and the National Awakening; we stayed in the Tsarine Maria Luisa room, enjoyed a Turkish bath, dinner, and breakfast, and were right in the heart of Veliko Tarnovo – we even got to see the Sound and Light show in honor of a National Holiday.
“Fantastic experience”
My daughter and I stayed at Bey House, and from the first moment we sensed we had found a truly special place. Every detail was meticulously designed, from the beautiful, elegant interiors to the impeccable cleanliness and exceptional service. What makes Bey House unforgettable is the people: each team member is discreet, attentive, and genuinely warm, always ready to help with the smallest detail, give advice, or simply brighten your day. Their natural warmth makes you feel more than a hotel guest; you feel genuinely cared for. The food deserves special mention: breakfast is wonderful, with selections made the evening before and freshly prepared the next morning. Dinner was an absolute pleasure, with exceptionally delicious dishes, desserts, fresh salads, a wonderful variety of choices, and a beautifully curated wine list. Everything is prepared and presented with great care and taste. The atmosphere is elegant, peaceful, and unlike anything else in the area. Bey House has its own distinctive character and sense of style without ever feeling pretentious, combining beauty, comfort, and genuine hospitality in a way that only the people can create. Our stay was one of the highlights of our visit to Veliko Tarnovo, and we leave with wonderful memories and the feeling that we would happily return. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Bey House for making our stay so special. A true gem and a wonderful example of hospitality at its very best.

“Fussy and pretentious hotel with bad service and rude staff”
The garden restaurant was pleasant and most of the menu items were excellent, with toiletries from a posh brand and a very expensive hairdryer. However, the staff were rude, surly, and unhelpful, never smiling, and the reception refused to help us with our bags at check‑in or even at check‑out. The bathroom was dirty, with hairs and scum in the bath; the bath leaked and the shower was broken. There was no parking; the staff told us it was fine to park on the street outside, but the next day a parking attendant clamped our car and we had to pay €30 to release it. The reception required a huge cash deposit at check‑in without giving a receipt. Check‑out was an hour earlier than in similar hotels. The room was fussy and pretentiously furnished, with an uncomfortable bed, bad pillows, and a down duvet in the middle of summer. There wasn’t enough space to hang clothes. The A/C didn’t work well, and music from the garden restaurant was too loud to hear in the bedroom. The chef favored odd foods like spelt instead of rice, and used various foams, smears, and sprinkles that added nothing to the dishes.
“Magnifique hotel pour visiter la ville”
The building is very beautiful, completely renovated, with high‑end facilities, stylish décor and excellent food, and the spot is perfect for exploring the city. The restaurant staff were helpful but not professional, the welcome felt off‑kilter and the dining service was slow.
