“Clean, comfortable bed, and good water pressure”
The staff were excellent, but the carpet in the rooms left something to be desired.

Finding the place was easy, check‑in went smoothly, and the room was pretty clean, yet we were assigned room 361, which had a faint mold smell and felt cold. When we cranked up the heat, the hot mold odor intensified, and we couldn’t keep it on. We had to rely on blankets from our car and layer warm clothes for bed. The embedded mold in the heater seemed like a health risk. We ended up leaving at 5:00 a.m. to stay in our warm vehicle. There’s no elevator to the top floor, so we had to climb the stairs with luggage, which could be tough for people with mobility issues. The refrigerator made a constant strange noise.

The property was clean and the rooms were updated enough that we didn’t mind staying there. The front‑desk staff seemed tired, but the lady at breakfast did a nice job and the food was very good. It was hard not having an elevator to bring our luggage up to our room; there were a couple flights of stairs, which they did mention in the description, but it was still difficult and I couldn’t have done it without my husband. We didn’t really like the town; it felt very liberal and there was a protest with people holding up vulgar signs against our wonderful President. We ate at a fabulous restaurant called Yodelin! It was so good! We also visited Fort Worden, which was very nice.

The hotel sits very close to Olympic National Park, making it a good stopover if you plan to visit Hurricane Ridge. They offer free coffee, tea, cocoa, and fruit juices all day, and parking is free. However, there are no elevators to the second level, so bringing heavy luggage up the stairs can be a hassle. The price is a bit high compared to other accommodations nearby.

I had a dog that had surgery and couldn’t walk up a flight of steps. The hotel clerk eventually rented me the house across the street after a lot of back‑and‑forth. NO ELEVATOR!!
