The information provided by the operator was false and manipulative. The room was part of a private apartment where the owner lives. The entire apartment is staged for photos, but none of that is available to guests. The listing claimed a kitchen was included, which was not true. The kitchen photos on the page were from a private kitchen that guests cannot access. On site, it was even stated that guests cannot eat in the room at all (not even a light breakfast of local bread) – there was an absolute ban, and the owner enforced it. The room was inspected constantly during the stay. With such a manipulative description of the accommodation, I did not encounter the otherwise excellent service it offers.

We were greeted warmly by Emilia, the owner, a courteous, agile older lady, and cared for as a guest. The Palazzo room is tastefully renovated and equipped with air‑conditioning. The adjoining dining area and corridor are also very nice, furnished with antique pieces and artistic items. The apartment feels like an island in the old town, a contrast that shocked me at first regarding its decay and ambience. It’s a morbid beauty that one would wish were better maintained. Because the location is very central, the city is easily explored on foot. The Corso, the ferry port, and the Spanish Quarter are not far. The cloister garden at the corner of the Monasterio di Santa Clara is absolutely worth a visit and the entrance fee, and it’s an idyll in the city. The bathroom is well equipped, but unfortunately it has no air‑conditioning, so it gets quite warm in the hot months.

The breakfast was a true Neapolitan breakfast, full of many delicacies, homemade sweets, tiramisu, lemon cake, etc., and the essential strong Neapolitan coffee. We were completely satisfied with the breakfast! The accommodation is located in the historic center, a few minutes’ walk from the metro stop. The area is full of small restaurants, cafés, and genuine Italian lively life. We left with very beautiful memories.

“Home away from home 🤍”

It felt very homely, the room and bathroom were lovely and spacious. If you forget any toiletries, they had spares in the room for you. We had a fantastic breakfast! All homemade and so delicious! They were very accommodating when we left early and made us breakfast before we went.
