Beautiful setting with beautiful views. Very clean and comfortable rooms. We were very disappointed in the breakfast. We literally had baked eggs with a lot of cinnamon on the top and they called it “French toast casserole” Everything tasted like it came from a box. We were not allowed to put ANY (1or2) toilet paper in the toilet, it had to go in a small trash can. We had to ask for it to be emptied

The facilities, location, and breakfast were exceptional, and the lake views were spectacular.

A special getaway just north of Seward, where Bre and her team turned this Alaskan B&B into an incredibly special and rewarding experience. Their friendly and inviting hospitality and good vibes made Bear Lake a pleasant and extremely cozy stay, truly an oasis away from home. The rooms were cozy, clean, and had very comfortable beds, and the breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day. Absolutely worth every dollar! Do yourself a favor and let Bre and her team work their magic during your time in Seward. No issues or problems.

I really enjoyed the location: the property sits right in the middle of the forest, on the shore of a beautiful lake, offering a very scenic and peaceful setting. Guests can use the kayaks to enjoy the lake or take walks through the surrounding forest, and it was a nice touch that they provide bear spray and mosquito repellent for guests to use when exploring the area. The staff was very polite and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious, varied, and hearty. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and parking was easy with plenty of space. Two things I think are worth mentioning: our room was obviously converted from an attic space, with three walls straight and one following the slope of the roof, which somewhat limits usable space and can be a little inconvenient; this didn't bother us personally, but some guests may find this type of room less comfortable. I don't know if the other rooms have the same layout, so I can only speak about the room we stayed in. The second issue was the fairly strong lack of soundproofing; we could hear quite a lot of what was happening upstairs, in neighboring rooms, and even in the adjacent bathroom. This was not a serious problem for us personally, but it could be important for guests who are sensitive to noise. Overall, these two points slightly lowered our rating of the accommodation, although they did not significantly affect our own stay.
