The staff were friendly, yet the accommodation lacked a restaurant, the grounds and pool were poorly maintained, the beach was quite dirty, and there were many sand flies.
The view was nice, but be prepared for sand flies on the beach. I also wish there were someone at reception to give local tips, and breakfast could use more fruit, fruit juice, and additional coffee.
Just in front of the sea, you can swim well, and if you dive a bit deeper there’s a lot of coral. The facilities need a bit of maintenance.
Having the sea right in front gave a wonderful sense of openness and the bed was very comfortable, yet the nearby river pours cola‑coloured runoff into the ocean, making the water filthy and uninviting for a swim; I ordered breakfast for 8:30, it arrived over half an hour late, and by the time it was finally served it was cold.
