Nestled beside a forest in Winterberg, Pension Walddorf provides immediate access to Rothaargebirge hiking trails and motorbike routes. Spacious, brightly furnished rooms feature modern bathrooms, some with private balconies. Guests enjoy a barbecue area, table‑football lounge, and generous breakfast buffet, with coffee and tea available all day. Fort Fun Abenteuerland lies 26 km away.

Nothing positive. The house was very remote. When we arrived the room was unfinished, even though there were no other guests. The dining area looked uninviting and the family still had food on the table. I only noticed the kitchen when we left, and if I had seen it on day one we probably wouldn't have stayed. That would be a food‑control issue.

Nothing positive. We arrived and the place was nothing like the photos – clutter everywhere. On the first floor balcony there were broken slatted beds and mattresses, deck beds with towels on them, and next to them on the terrace at the entrance. Inside it smelled musty and there were dirty dishes on the table in the dining area. The owners were absent, supposedly picking up their daughter from school. Overall it was not what we paid for and we didn’t stay. It was too dirty and the air was musty. The owner admitted he should have invested more and doubted whether this was his business; he also said we were early, so he was busy with his daughter and a niece from America, which made it messy. He offered to refund half our money, but when we requested cancellation he said we would get nothing back. In short, very bad, unprofessional and unreliable – a shame for our six‑hour journey.

Der Gastgeber ist recht nett. 1. Der unprofessionelle Service - offensichtlich keine gastronomische Ausbildung. 2. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt arg zu wünschen übrig. 3. Das Ambiente und das Haus sind mehr als fragwürdig - der Krempel wird öfters von rechts nach links geräumt. 4. Die Dusche hätte sauberer sein können. Erst ab 7:30 Uhr warmes Wasser und das nur nach Anmeldung

The price was good, but the accommodation was poorly maintained and the area around the pension was a mess. The owner didn't seem to know how to run a pension; once he sat at our table from the first to the last minute of breakfast, and in the evening the hot water was short‑lived, overall a bad experience.
