“Good location and comfortable bed but don't expect much else”
I walked 10 minutes to the base village and 3‑5 minutes to nearby restaurants, bars, and a convenience store. The room was tidy, had a nice view, and the windowsill was handy for keeping drinks cool. It was comfortable enough if you’re just looking for a place to sleep and plan to hit the slopes all day or stay out at night. However, most of the staff worked for the lodge owner’s ski school, so it felt more like a hostel without kitchen access. Breakfast was pretty slap‑dash: tough sausages, cold mushrooms, stale toast, and the only egg option was pre‑prepared soft or hard boiled. Hot water was switched off during the day and only turned on after 4 pm, so I ended up taking a chilly shower at 3:30 pm one day—knowing this earlier would have helped.
