The staff were friendly, especially ELVIS, who was very helpful. The food tasted good, the place was clean, and the view was beautiful—better in person than in the photos.

Thanks to Alice for her kind and always adorable welcome at the restaurant; we chatted with her a lot, she was devoted and very pleasant. Even though the wait at the restaurant was very long (which is normal in Zanzibar), she tried to find solutions, offering us a table before the menu when everything was almost ready. It’s surprising to stay in a hotel under reconstruction; everything will probably be fine soon, but we would have liked to be warned. It didn’t bother us much since our room wasn’t affected, but seeing the work is not exactly what you want when vacationing far away. The menu was limited (probably because the hotel is being rebuilt), and we occasionally had a different meal (which was good!). The front‑desk staff were not pleasant, unlike the bar and dining teams.

The staff were lovely and helpful, very responsive, the room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, and the portions at the restaurant were generous. The wait time at the restaurant was fairly long.
