“Recommended chateau in Grospierres”

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Chateau du Bournet, which sits near the Grotte Chauvet 2, the Gorges de L'Ardeche, and De la Selve winery. It’s a beautiful 19th‑century chateau owned by wonderful hosts Edward and Catherine; Edward always made sure we were comfortable and gave us an interesting tour of the chateau and chapel. Breakfast was excellent. We stayed in Suite Cecil, which had a comfortable king bed and good AC. We felt the price was good value and recommend staying here.

“Magnifique”

The castle sits in a lush park, perfectly positioned for exploring the area (Grotte Chauvet, Aven d'Orgnac). Two restaurants and a tree‑top park with a pretty river are within walking distance, creating an ideal backdrop for our family trip. Édouard and his wife were incredibly kind, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We also toured the castle, which is steeped in history. Everything was flawless.

Sleeping in a real castle was amazing; the owner’s tour was very informative, and the breakfast featured lovely homemade products.
