“Didn’t feel safe and needs renovation”
The staff were quite attentive and letting us check in a bit earlier was a big help. There’s coffee, a small oven, and a regular fridge, which is a bonus. The spot is within walking distance of all the main attractions and bus, train, and ferry stops. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel very comfortable or safe. The layout was odd—the “private” bathroom was actually across the hallway with a frosted glass door, offering little privacy. The room opened onto the kitchen through a semi‑transparent door with only a tiny latch, which felt insecure. Light and noise from the kitchen leaked in. We also had concerns about a strange balcony and whether someone else could see into our room. The building is old and needs renovation; the entrance and staircase are in poor condition, giving a sense of insecurity. The bathroom and shower were not very clean, towels weren’t replaced, and there was no cleaning during our stay. Overall, the apartment needs improvement in cleanliness, privacy, and security.
