Fabulous setting. Perfect stop on the NC500. Food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Our room was above the kitchen fans so was a little noisy but not terrible and of course they were switched off when dinner had stopped. But nothing too terrible

Breakfast was fine, but my companion’s poached eggs were overcooked. The location was great. My companion found the stairs difficult.

The room was clean and comfortable, though on the smaller side. Breakfast was decent, but I’d had better options at B&Bs and guesthouses during our trip; the dinner the night before was tasty but pricey. Overall, I felt the stay was overpriced.

A warm welcome greeted us, and the traditional décor was lovely. The location was ideal for the NC500, and the food was exceptional.
