The stay never happened because a power outage occurred when a car lost control, hit a concrete electric pole, and ended up on the roof—fortunately no injuries were reported. The incident happened just as I was entering the parking lot, and after about 30 minutes we decided to head back to Paris, an hour’s drive away.

The owner’s welcome was very friendly, and she was attentive to everything that could make the stay enjoyable. The century‑old trees in the park were magnificent.
