“Passing through”

I had a quick night stay where everything I needed—comfy bed, shower, beer, and dinner—was provided, I loved the atmosphere and thought it would be fun to rent a room there, the backpackers for the family added to the vibe, it felt very nice, fun, and welcoming, though it’s very dated and a bit run down, which adds to its charm.

I appreciated the desk and a mirror in the bathroom after being moved from my prebooked room that lacked those features. The bar and downstairs dinner offered good food and excellent staff service, though it wasn't the cheapest; the Guinness was great. The carpets and overall decor felt very outdated and worn, and the shower rose leaked badly, clearly a maintenance issue. The beds were old and too soft, with pillows that offered no support, but that might be my preference for a firmer bed and pillows.
