Darien Dockside Inn

“We were really disappointed with our stay and wouldn’t want anyone else to waste their money or weekend staying here!”

The location was within walking distance to everything downtown, yet the room was dusty and both floor and ceiling were dirty, including the ceiling fan. We received only one towel per person and a single roll of toilet paper for three nights. The shower floor was dirty and the drain didn’t work; the sprayer was old and needed replacement, and the sink fixtures were old and green from wear.

Very, very clean and neat, tidy and cute, and I can’t think of a single complaint!

“It was a place to fall asleep in out of the rain”

Was not very clean. Bed was great and very clean. Bathroom sink faucet dirty, rust coming out of faucet base. Only 1 roll of toilet paper and that was over half used. Shower floor dirty and would not drain. Only one lamp next to bed with a very dim bulb in it. There was an old unused heating/AC vent near the bed at the ceiling and wall corner that allowed all the sound from the room next to us to be heard. Whispering, TV, eating all of it came through. The room could only be accessed by going down a very narrow slightly overgrown path with a tree in the middle of it. As a disabled Vet I found this highly unacceptable

“It was overall a good stay. It was clean, but needs updating.”

The location was central and convenient to everything we wanted to see, but Unit 1 felt rough compared to the other units, which seemed larger and more modern.
