The Deluxe Room has one bed and sleeps 2 guests. It is air-conditioned for climate control. The room features a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV with cable channels for entertainment.
“A Lodge, Not a Hotel”
I've got to say, this place is not what I expected. It's a lodge, not a hotel, and it shows. The TV wasn't working, and to make matters worse, I got lukewarm water because the geyser was on the fritz. The staff seemed completely uninterested in fixing the problems, and when I complained about the TV, they just shrugged it off and told me I didn't need it anyway since I had to leave for work the next morning. Needless to say, I won't be back.
“A Quiet Location, But That's About It”
The one good thing about this place is that it's situated in a relatively quiet area, despite being near a road. But that's where the positives end. The rooms were filthy, the property had a shady vibe, and there were couples coming and going at all hours. The rooms were damp, there were no hangers in the cupboard, and the lock on the door didn't work for the entire 4-day stay.
“Great Staff, But Some Technical Issues”
Despite the TV and phone not working, the staff at the reception and housekeeping were absolutely top-notch. They were friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to make sure everything was okay.
“No Kitchen, No Cleaning Help”
The biggest problem with this place is that they don't have a kitchen, so you're stuck eating out or cooking on the go. And when I asked about room cleaning, I was told to do it myself. Not exactly what I'm looking for in a place to stay.
“Overhyped or Overlooked?”
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the high ratings for this place. The location is super quiet, which is a major plus, and the elevator is a nice touch. The mattress is actually really comfy, which is something you don't always get in budget hotels. But, let's be real, it's not exactly the Ritz - the room is pretty basic, with no top sheet, just a thin microfiber blanket.
