The host in Volcano Valley was truly charming, and we coordinated with him to do the Batur trek (an amazing experience!). The photos matched reality, and our night went very well even though it was short because the alarm was early to catch the sunrise. When we returned, we had breakfast and even booked a taxi to our next destination!

Very friendly hosts. They took us to the natural hot springs for a fee and picked us up there. In the morning we went at 3:15 to see the sunrise at Batur. Everything was very reliable. The cabins are close to a wall and there are quite a few flies. However, if you stay long in the spa, then eat and climb in the morning, you’re not that affected.

The family who host this accommodation are so kind and helpful, I felt really cared for, especially as I had been unwell prior to arrival and needed to recover. They helped me with special dietary needs and even drove me to the doctor on one occasion. So grateful for this care. They helped me organise a sunrise hike and were accommodating in every way. It is a little isolated if you don’t have a rental vehicle and can be a bit noisy at times due to all the motorbikes but I think that’s pretty standard for the whole region. Still a good place to chill and relax.

The room was very clean, the bed comfortable. We were able to have meals cooked by the owners delivered, and they were very good. The owner helped us organise our activities such as the Batur climb and a 4x4 outing, it was flawless, everything was perfect and our guides were great. He even helped me fix my scooter by taking me to a nearby garage. Our stay was perfect. Thank you to them.
