Marriott's Kaua'i Beach Club

The pool is simply stunning. We spent slightly more time there than the beach across the sidewalk. The room was spacious for two. 100% misled the room description. This room is a queen MURPHY BED! While it was a solid mattress, it was NOT comfortable. Because of the MURPHY BED, you had gaps ALL over the place that your pillows and blankets would get lost in. Oh, and I HATE soft feather pillows. The tower we were in had ice machines on floors 1 and 3 only, we stayed on floor 2. Grrrr. The property is shared with the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Signage could be improved to find the check-in area for the Marriott. Lastly, we were told that houskeeping would visit us on one day of our stay, specifically Saturday. By 1:00pm, houskeeping had not arrived. I called and asked if there was an issue. Was told that "refresh" service is only done AFTER full room turns. We left for the wedding at 4:30pm. No service. We returned from the wedding at 10:30pm. No service. From 7:00am to 10:30pm the do not disturb sign was NOT on the door. Bueller? Anyone???

We stayed in adjoining rooms for my wife, me, our son, and his family; the rooms were newly renovated and super comfy! The grounds were as good as ever and the restaurant food was awesome, so nothing to complain about.

“For the price we got jipped. Smallest room ever.”

The pool was beautiful and our view was amazing, with a balcony overlooking the ocean. However, our room was so small that we had to move the couch to pull down the Murphy bed, and we couldn’t even use the couch properly. The bed itself was uncomfortable, the shower water was cold, and the water was turned off from 11:00 pm until morning, which was inconvenient.

“GREAT PLACE.. BOOKING hid important notes about the bed”

The beach and restaurants are very close, just a short walk from your room, and the grounds and staff are exceptional. But read the entire room description carefully—Booking hid the fact that the queen ocean suite has a folding out Murphy bed.
