Nothing good! Three friends and I booked months ahead for the FLIP 2026 event. On July 12, a week before the Flip, we got an email saying the “pousada Ai Kaisara” had started a free cancellation of our reservation. The accommodation message said they were in a “transition period,” that there would be no internal parking – they never told us the lodge was closing. They claimed the conditions were suitable to receive us with “comfort.” We arrived at 21:30 on July 22, exhausted after a 6‑hour trip. We were met with several “sorry” statements that the place had been dismantled a month earlier, and they had hurriedly set up two rooms to “receive us.” The host Juliano said we would “do a favor to cancel the reservation,” because booking only accepted guest cancellations, and he was extremely rude. The place looked like a horror‑movie set, nothing like the photos. There was no lighting, no room keys, the rooms smelled moldy, no air conditioning, no reception, and the host’s disrespect and rudeness were unprecedented. We are horrified by the disrespect and neglect. How could we cancel a reservation a week before a major event if the lodging wasn’t transparent about not being able to host guests? We have recordings of the place and the conversation with the host proving the horror. We demand a full refund, as the place was completely unsuitable for lodging. There were no other guests! We had to find another stay at 22:00 (we have proof of the place we stayed), causing inconvenience and financial impact. The “pousada Ai Kaisara” even deleted its listing on booking. Worst experience ever!

“Fui agredida fisicamente por el proprietário”

Nothing good. My stay at this inn was extremely serious and traumatic. During my stay I was victimized by the owner/manager, who treated me violently, intimidated me, and threw my belongings out of the place, leaving me in total vulnerability and insecurity. I felt humiliated, threatened, and completely unprotected. This was not just a bad lodging experience; it was violence that should never happen in a place listed on Booking. Everything I’m telling is backed by official records, including a police report and medical care, proving the severity of what happened. I do not recommend this place to anyone, especially women traveling alone or tourists who expect basic safety and respect. I consider it essential that Booking seriously reviews this lodging, because no one should endure such an experience. I hope my account helps prevent others from going through something similar.

“Tranquila e ótimo custo benefício”

The stay was simple but matched the ad. The common area is spacious, nice with grass and plants. Juliano’s hospitality was excellent. Great location, close to the historic center. The accommodation could use some improvements for more comfort, but nothing that would ruin the stay.

The place feels really pleasant with a cool rustic vibe, and the room was comfortable and spotless. Juliano, the owner, greeted us warmly, treated us to complimentary ice cream and his excellent sushi, and radiated good energy, always hustling to make guests’ stays better, offering tips and making us feel at ease. My girlfriend and I felt totally comfortable, and the cost‑performance ratio was outstanding. I’d seen a few negative comments before arriving, but they seemed to come from people who didn’t get the concept; the low price matches the quality and location, so it’s clear why Juliano handles everything himself, yet any issue is solved quickly when you ask. He’s informal yet very respectful, helpful and genuinely a great guy. The whole experience was fantastic and we’ll definitely return.
